I‘m a planner by nature. I love planning ahead. Every Sunday I take my time to get some stuff done to reset for the week ahead. This is really necessary for me, otherwise everything will end up in failure. So here I’ve made my little to do list for you. It really isn’t anything special, but who knows it might help some of you out there.
1. Ease into the day
Take your time waking. Jumping out of bed to get everything done straight ahead isn’t the best way to start your day. Make yourself a nice breakfast, grab some coffee or tea and turn on Netflix (or the newspaper if you’re old fashioned). Pajamas are optional, but highly recommended.
2. Do laundry
Every Monday morning I find getting up really hard, so I don’t want to think too much about my clothing. If you have done your laundry in the weekend and have all your clothing clean by Monday, I can assure you that this will speed up your getting-dressed process.
3. Exercise
Sunday is a great day to exercise. Go outside even when it’s just for a walk. Especially when you spent mos of your week inside because of your work.
4. Choose at least 3 outfits you’ll wear next week
I can really recommend this one. I believe that you will create better outfits when you are not feeling stressed by a mountain of emails in the morning or when you have to hurry to make an 8 a.m meeting. You will never regret this. Never.
5. Clean out your purse
You will be surprised how much you can actually fit in a purse. I happen to always take receipts and they will be stuck in my wallet for weeks. Pretty annoying if you ask me. This one I still need to add to my routine. Start your week fresh by removing anything like hairbands, receipts and all the other stuff that you won’t need.
6. Organize your closet
If your closet isn’t organized it makes it harder to create outfits in the morning. If everything hangs in the correct spot and you have nice folded staples of shirts and pants, I can promise you that you are ready to go within 10 minutes.
And there you have it! 6 things I do and that I think you should do on Sunday
